CLUB DE GOLF DE BARCELONA

Club de Golf Barcelona is one of the clubs with the longest history and tradition in Catalonia. The club opened its doors for the first time in 1989 and its history includes several international professional championships played on its holes, such as the Catalonia Ladies Masters in 2007, a tournament that belongs to the Ladies European Tour or the Peugeot National Tour. The golf course is located 27km from Barcelona in the famous wine-growing area of El Penedés. Surrounded by nature and charm, Barcelona Golf Club is a haven of tranquillity and peace close to the lively city of Barcelona. The club has two courses, both designed by José Maria Olazábal. The “Masia” course, an 18-hole, par 72, 6,271-metre course, is a real challenge for the golfer. With a very attractive design and a varied course, it is very popular with lower handicappers. The Masía Bach course is especially valued for professional tournaments. The “Sant Esteve” course is a 9-hole par 31 and 1,780 metres, flatter and more relaxed, which gives the golfer the opportunity to enjoy a pleasant day’s golf, also making the most of the opportunity to practice both the long and short game.
